Kiona Nessenbaum
Kiona Nessenbaum is the host and producer of the Birth As We Know It (BAWK) podcast,
dedicated to recognizing the many different ways that birth unfolds. She lives in the
Pacific Northwest and is a mother of three rambunctious children. She has
professionally experienced over 140 births in the roles of a birth doula, birth assistant,
and former student midwife. She is deeply interested in learning more about how unique
birth is to each individual. Hearing this directly, from the voices of those who have
experienced it, is an opportunity she doesn’t want to miss.
