Marva Zohar was born and raised in Nataf, Israel near Jerusalem. She studied midwifery at the Northern NM Birth Center (formally the Northern NM Midwifery Center) and with the National College of Midwifery. Currently she is volunteering in various communities throughout Uganda where she is working as a midwife as well as training and learning from local, traditional midwives.
