Lakeisha Dennis

Lakeisha M. Dennis, MTS, MSN, CNM, WHNP-BC, LCCE, CLC, has over a decade of experience serving expectant families in a myriad of capacities – community doula, perinatal educator, lactation counselor, and mentor. She advocates for the use of the midwifery model of care as a system for reducing disparities for families of color in New Jersey and beyond. She is an active maternal health advocate, having served on local and national boards and coalitions, charged with improving health outcomes for mothers and babies. Lakeisha is currently working as a registered nurse in her community, supporting birthing families and training the next generation of nurses and midwives at a freestanding birth center.
