Julie Tupler is a registered nurse, certified personal trainer, and childbirth educator. She started developing the research- and evidence-based Tupler Technique® in 1990, with her Maternal Fitness® Program, to prepare women for the “marathon of labor and motherhood.” Her first book, Maternal Fitness, focused on preparing for labor by learning how to push during pregnancy. In 2001 she wrote Lose Your Mummy Tummy to help moms recover from childbirth, focusing on treating diastasis recti. In 2016, she published Together Tummy. Julie is on the advisory board of Medical Fitness Network, Fit Pregnancy, Women’s Health Foundation, and the Women’s Sports Foundation. Julie trains medical and fitness professionals all over the world, with her program in Spanish, Portuguese, Danish, German, Italian, and Czech. She has been featured on TV and in magazines. She is a frequent speaker at medical and fitness conferences. She has also produced five videos and invented the Diastometer for measuring diastasis recti, the Diastasis Rehab Splint®, Together Tape, Corrective Connective Tissue Cream, and TogetherWear.
