Midwifery Today Issue 27 Theme:  Birth and Disability

Birth practitioners serve a wide cross section of women, disabled women among them. Issue 27 focuses on birth and  stories, empowerment, equipment to help expectant and new mothers, guidelines for serving women with various disabilities, breastfeeding, postpartum issues and more. Two authors talk about substance abuse and childbearing, and a midwife tells the story of how a woman with an inverted uterus had a successful birth experience.
