While in England, a green Italian midwife struggles to help her African client deliver and quickly realizes the implications of cultural differences in midwifery.
Sonia Richardson is a midwife who trained in Italy and qualified in 2000. She practiced in London and now lives and works in Bristol, UK. Her special interests are homebirth and international cooperation. She lives with her partner and two children (with another on the way) and would love to take the whole family to work on a midwifery project in a developing country.
