Derek Lainsbury

Derek Lainsbury was a Counselor in Health and Care when he wrote this article, working specifically with adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and addiction. Since then he has worked as a clinical therapist, counsellor and facilitator in a variety of settings. He has a Masters Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and taught in that field for 15 years. He will continue to "speak out" about his own experiences of sexual abuse at conferences and seminars with the sole aim of giving other people the opportunity to hear that they are not alone.
