What payment methods does Midwifery Today accept?
Midwifery Today accepts Visa, MasterCard, MidwiferyToday.com gift certificates, and checks, money orders, or cashier's checks issued in US dollars.

How can I find out the status of my order?

Will there be import duties and taxes charged on my order?
For orders outside the US, you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, when ordering from Midwiferytoday.com, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.


What shipping methods are used?

Continental US—Standard delivery by UPS or US Postal Service, Second Day and Next Day service by UPS. If your address is not served by a particular carrier, please inform us in the Notes field during checkout. Additional charges may apply when you select the carrier.

Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico—Standard delivery through US Postal Service, Second Day and Next Day service by UPS.

US Territories, US Armed Forces—Standard delivery through US Postal Service, no rush service available.

Canada—Standard delivery through US Postal Service airmail, no rush service available.

All other countries—Standard delivery through US Postal Service surface mail. Airmail available upon request; e-mail orders@midwiferytoday.com for a quote.

What are the shipping rates?

Should I pay for rush shipping?

Delivery within the US—if you need your order in less than 10 days, we recommend shipment by UPS Second Day or Next Day service.

Regardless of shipping method please inform us of any deadline you may have, and we will make every effort to meet it. Please type your request in the Notes field during checkout or give us the deadline when ordering by phone or mail.

Delivery to all other countries—Sorry, we offer rush shipping for US addresses only.

Is rush shipping available for delivery outside the US?
Rush shipping is not available for delivery outside the US. We recommend airmail, which takes 1–2 weeks. However, we cannot guarantee delivery time on any shipments outside the US. We do not ship packages outside the US by UPS, FedEx or DHL.
How do I determine the cost of airmail shipping for delivery outside the US or Canada?

Please e-mail orders@midwiferytoday.com and request an airmail quote; include the item(s) you want to order. We will e-mail you the cost for airmail shipping. You may also place your order and type in the Notes field that you would like an airmail quote.

After we have notified you of the cost for airmail, we require confirmation that you accept the additional charge. Please e-mail your acceptance of the airmail charge to orders@midwiferytoday.com. If we do not receive confirmation within one week the order will ship at the regular surface rate.

What is the deadline for same day shipping of rush orders?
For same day shipping we must receive your order by noon Pacific Time. Sorry, there is no same day shipping available for destinations outside the US.


When will I receive my first issue?

Generally, you will receive your first issue 1–2 weeks from the time you subscribe. However, if you subscribe shortly before release of the new issue, your first issue will arrive in 3–4 weeks. Please see publication dates below.

How can I find out the status of my subscription?

The mailing label on your magazine or newsletter shows the expiration issue.

Can I cancel my subscription and receive a refund?

Subscriptions are non-refundable. If you cancel you may receive credit toward another purchase or transfer your subscription to another person.

Please be aware that there are graphic depictions of childbirth in Midwifery Today publications. You may not want to subscribe if explicit photographs of the human body offend you.

Why am I receiving renewal notices already?

There are several possibilities.

  1. Your subscription may have been entered after the renewal notice was generated. In this case, the notices will stop soon.
  2. You have two or fewer issues of Midwifery Today left in your subscription. Renewal notices for Midwifery Today begin when there are two issues remaining in your subscription. Please disregard the notices if you are not ready to renew. Note that the first renewal notice contains a discount if you renew early.
  3. One or more of your issues did not arrive so it seems that the subscription should not be due for renewal. Please e-mail admin@midwiferytoday.com if you believe you are missing issues. Please provide your mailing address so we can check the accuracy of our records.

If you believe your expiration issue is incorrect or you have any other subscription problems, please e-mail admin@midwiferytoday.com for assistance.
